At every appointment, she speaks directly to and explains everything to my daughters so they understand their condition, treatment, and upcoming plans. My daughters have felt special and important because they are included in every aspect of the conversation. Her staff is wonderful too! They are always friendly and are amazing with children of all ages! Anytime I call for a prescription refill or any need in general, they immediately answer the phone or give me a call back right away. Their response time and communication is quick and always immediate. Dr. Vela is friendly, compassionate, and very down-to-earth, and my daughters enjoy being her patients. She is both of my daughter's favorite doctor and the ONLY doctor they get excited to visit!

My daughters migraines have went from daily to weekly. The reason I gave them four stars is that you can never get in contact with someone when you call in. Out of the eleven times I've called in the past and twice today I've only gotten through twice. Side note: they are good with returning your calls.

The doctor was very personable with our kiddo and such a kind woman who genuinely cares and is passionate about her field. The tech who performed the EEG I'm a little iffy about as she was not so personable nor kid friendly. The jury is still out on the tech - perhaps she was having a bad day - still no excuse. To say she and her staff are a breath of fresh air is an understatement. They worked us in quickly and Dr Vela worked her magic to get the seizures under control. The whole staff are wonderful.
